Day 1: Tangier → Tetouan → Chefchaouen
Your journey begins as we greet you at your arrival point in Tangier—whether the port, airport, or your hotel—and set off toward the majestic Rif Mountains of northern Morocco. Our first stop is Tetouan, a serene Andalusian city often referred to as “The White Dove” due to its beautifully whitewashed architecture. You’ll explore Moulay El Mehdi Square, the charming Spanish Ensanche, the Jewish Quarter, and the majestic Hassan II Square, home to the Royal Palace. Continuing our scenic drive, we reach the enchanting Chefchaouen by afternoon. Nestled into the mountains, this town welcomes you with its vibrant blue-washed medina, quiet alleys, and peaceful mountain atmosphere. You’ll have time to wander freely before we guide you from the main square to your traditional riad located near the hammam, where you’ll spend a tranquil evening.
Day 2: Chefchaouen → Volubilis → Fes
After breakfast, we leave behind the cool blues of Chefchaouen and head south toward the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. As you walk through this extraordinary UNESCO World Heritage Site, you’ll step into a world of fallen columns, ornate mosaics, and wide stone roads once bustling with Roman life. This once-flourishing outpost was vital for supplying grain and exotic animals to the empire, and its grandeur still echoes in structures like the Capitoline Temple, the Basilica, and the impressive Forum. From here, we drive onward to the imperial city of Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and intellectual heart. As you settle into your charming riad in the ancient medina, you’ll be preparing for an unforgettable day of exploration in one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.
Day 3: Full-Day Exploration of Fes
Today offers a full immersion into the vibrant soul of Fes with a local official guide who will lead you through the maze-like lanes of the Fes el-Bali medina, the largest pedestrian city in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This full-day tour introduces you to the essence of medieval Morocco, from the ancient madrasas and bustling souks to the famous Chouara Tanneries and historic al-Qarawiyyin University, one of the oldest in the world. You’ll hear the hammering of metalworkers, smell fresh spices and cedarwood, and see craftsmen preserving traditions passed down for centuries. After a day filled with discovery and sensory delights, you’ll return to your riad, enriched and enchanted by the cultural treasures of this timeless city.
Day 4: Fes → Ifrane → Azrou → Midelt → Ziz Valley → Merzouga
Departing from Fes, your adventure continues through the ever-changing landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop is the alpine town of Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco”, known for its European-style architecture and manicured streets. As we journey further, we pass through the cedar forests of Azrou, home to Barbary macaques, before descending into the wide plains near Midelt. Crossing the dramatic Ziz Gorges, you’ll witness traditional Berber villages clinging to the cliffs and a stretch of palm-fringed oasis that signals your approach to the Sahara Desert. Arriving in Merzouga as the sun begins to fall, you’ll settle into a cozy kasbah-style hotel on the edge of the dunes, where the silence of the desert prepares you for the next day’s magic.
Day 5: Merzouga → Erg Chebbi Camel Trek & Desert Camp
Today is devoted to the unforgettable experience of the Sahara Desert. After a leisurely morning in Merzouga, you may choose to explore nearby Rissani or simply relax before the evening’s adventure. As the day cools, you’ll mount your camel and begin a peaceful trek into the golden Erg Chebbi dunes, guided by local nomads. The ride lasts about an hour, timed perfectly to catch the sunset illuminating the sands in warm amber light. Arriving at your Berber-style desert camp, you’ll be welcomed with mint tea before enjoying a traditional Moroccan dinner under a sky ablaze with stars. After dinner, gather around the campfire to listen to Berber drumming and songs, the rhythms of the desert echoing into the night.
Day 6: Merzouga → Todra Gorges → Valley of Roses → Ouarzazate
An early rise rewards you with the spectacle of sunrise over the dunes, a moment of silent awe. After breakfast and a return camel ride or 4×4 transfer, we begin the day’s scenic journey westward. Our route takes us through Rissani, once a thriving market center for Saharan caravans, then into the dramatic Todra Gorges, where towering rock walls rise over 300 meters above a clear riverbed. You’ll walk through this stunning natural corridor, often dotted with climbers and nomads. Continuing along the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs, you’ll pass through the Valley of Roses, famed for its annual rose harvest and fragrant beauty. By evening, we reach Ouarzazate, the “Gateway to the Sahara” and Morocco’s cinematic capital. Settle into your welcoming riad and reflect on the vast beauty you’ve seen.
Day 7: Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → Telouet → High Atlas → Marrakech
This morning we explore Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-protected ksar of mudbrick kasbahs that has stood for centuries and served as a backdrop for countless films including Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Game of Thrones. Walking its ancient alleys, you’ll feel transported to another era. From here, we head to the lesser-known but equally stunning Telouet Kasbah, once home to the powerful Glaoui family, where faded murals and intricate zellij hint at past grandeur. After lunch, we cross the winding roads of the High Atlas Mountains, following the dramatic path of the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, Morocco’s highest. As the land flattens into the Haouz Plain, the red walls of Marrakech rise before you. After arriving in the bustling medina, you’ll check into your riad just steps away from the iconic Jemaa el-Fnaa Square.
Day 8: Full-Day Guided Tour of Marrakech
Today is a deep dive into the Red City, where ancient heritage and modern life blend in colorful harmony. With your local guide, you’ll explore legendary landmarks like the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, and the exquisite Bahia Palace, all steeped in centuries of Moroccan history. Lose yourself in the labyrinth of the souks, each dedicated to traditional crafts—leatherwork, carpets, metalwork, and more. Watch artisans at work and let the rhythms of the medina enchant you. Enjoy a traditional lunch in a hidden courtyard, then visit the serene Majorelle Garden or unwind with mint tea on a rooftop terrace. As night falls, the energy of Jemaa el-Fnaa comes alive with storytellers, snake charmers, and food vendors. You’ll return to your riad full of wonder and sweet memories of the city’s vibrant soul.
Day 9: Marrakech → Airport Transfer
After breakfast, depending on your departure time, we’ll escort you to the Marrakech airport for your onward flight. As your 9-day family journey through Morocco concludes, you’ll carry home vivid memories—of golden dunes, blue alleys, ancient medinas, and the warmth of Moroccan hospitality.

Contact & Booking:
How can i book the 10 Days Morocco Family Tour from Tangier?
You can book the tour by contacting us. It is not possible to book directly for different reasons. First, we are specialized in private tours; therefore, we need to check if you would like to book the tour as it is or you have special requirements. Second, the price varies from one situation to another. Consequently, we need to give you the full details before you book. These are the main reasons why we like to contact us first.
Why there is no one price for the 10 Days Family Tour from Tangier?
There is no one price because the tour is not a shared tour. The price varies based on the number of travelers, the type of accommodations, the itinerary…etc. for example, the price of 4 people traveling together will be cheaper than the price of two people. The reason behind that is that the 4 people share the car, the driver, and the guides, so logically the price per person will be cheaper. In addition, the type of accommodation also influences the price. A traveler asking for 5-star hotels will pay more than someone asking for 3 stars… Normally, we calculate the costs of each service before we deliver our quotation.
