Day 1: Tangier Tetouan Chefchaouen

Your 6 Days Morocco Tour from Tangier adventure begins with pickup at your port, hotel, or airport in Tangier. We travel first to Tetouan, the “White Dove,” where Andalusian charm blends with Moroccan tradition. Explore the Spanish Quarter, Hassan II Square, and the Royal Palace before continuing into the Rif Mountains.

In the afternoon, arrive in the famed blue city of Chefchaouen, nestled between two mountain peaks. Enjoy free time to stroll the narrow lanes, explore artisan shops, and sip mint tea on a rooftop terrace. Dinner and overnight in a charming riad.

Day 2: Chefchaouen Fes Guided Tour

After breakfast, drive through the picturesque Jbala villages toward Fes, one of Morocco’s most ancient and storied cities. Upon arrival, enjoy a break for lunch before meeting your local guide.

Dive into the UNESCO-listed medina of Fes el-Bali, the oldest in Morocco. Lose yourself in its maze of narrow streets, discover the vibrant souks, leather tanneries, artisan workshops, the University of Al Quaraouiyine (the oldest in the world), and the magnificent Royal Palace gates. The smells, sounds, and colors create a sensory overload you won’t forget.

Overnight in a traditional riad in the medina.

Day 3: Fes Ifrane Cedar Forest Ziz Valley Erfoud Merzouga (Camel Trek & Desert Camp)

After breakfast, leave Fes and head toward the Sahara. First, stop in Ifrane, a Swiss-style town known for its alpine architecture and clean streets. Then head to the Cedar Forest of Azrou, where you can interact with friendly Barbary macaques.

Continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains to Midelt for lunch. Drive along the dramatic Ziz Valley, with thousands of palm trees and ksars lining the road. Pass through Erfoud—famous for its fossils—before reaching the Sahara.

In Merzouga, your camel awaits! Ride through the magical dunes of Erg Chebbi as the sun sets. Arrive at your luxury desert camp for dinner, Berber drumming, stargazing, and an unforgettable night under the stars.

Day 4: Merzouga Khamlia Mifis Mines Taouz Ouzina Desert

Rise early to witness the mesmerizing sunrise over the dunes, then return to the lodge for breakfast and a shower. Begin your off-road desert adventure in a 4×4 vehicle, starting with a visit to the old Mifis mines, once mined for salt and minerals by the French.

Next, visit Khamlia village, a spiritual and cultural highlight of the desert. Enjoy live Gnawa music, performed by descendants of sub-Saharan Africans, while tasting mint tea and the local specialty: Berber pizza.

After lunch, we journey even deeper into the desert, driving south to Taouz, the last town before the Algerian border. From here, we follow a segment of the Paris-Dakar Rally route, past prehistoric rock carvings and nomadic Berber settlements.

By evening, arrive at the remote and peaceful Ouzina Desert, a wild and untouched region of golden dunes and red rock. Dinner and overnight in a kasbah surrounded by silence and stars.

Day 5: Ouzina Rissani Todra Gorges Dades & Roses Valley Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we leave Ouzina and head back toward civilization, passing through the desert towns of Rissani and Alnif, stopping along the way for photos and market visits. Rissani’s traditional souk is a treasure trove of spices, textiles, and history—it was once the trading hub of ancient Sijilmassa.

Depart to the awe-inspiring Todra Gorges. Towering limestone cliffs rise over 300 meters, creating a natural wonder ideal for a short walk and some memorable photos. Journey onward through the spectacular Dades Valley, also known as the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing fields, kasbah ruins, and lush oases. Along the way, you’ll cross the Valley of Roses, where rosewater and cosmetics are still made from the Damask rose. By late afternoon, arrive in Ouarzazate, dubbed the “Hollywood of Africa” for its numerous film studios and desert landscapes. Enjoy dinner and a restful night in a charming local riad.

Day 6: Ouarzazate Ait Ben Haddou High Atlas Mountains Marrakech

After breakfast, we visit the legendary Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and perhaps Morocco’s most photogenic ksar (fortified village). Explore the ancient clay buildings where Game of Thrones, Gladiator, and The Mummy were filmed.

Then begin your drive across the dramatic High Atlas Mountains, via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m), the highest in Morocco. Along the way, enjoy panoramic views, local markets, and lunch in a mountain village.

Contact & Booking:

How can i book the 6 Days Morocco Tour from Tangier?

You can book the tour by contacting us. It is not possible to book directly for different reasons. First, we are specialized in private tours; therefore, we need to check if you would like to book the tour as it is or you have special requirements. Second, the price varies from one situation to another. Consequently, we need to give you the full details before you book. These are the main reasons why we like to contact us first.

Why there is no one price for the 6 days Desert tour from Tangier to Marrakech?

There is no one price because the tour is not a shared tour. The price varies based on the number of travelers, the type of accommodations, the itinerary…etc. for example, the price of 4 people traveling together will be cheaper than the price of two people. The reason behind that is that the 4 people share the car, the driver, and the guides, so logically the price per person will be cheaper. In addition, the type of accommodation also influences the price. A traveler asking for 5-star hotels will pay more than someone asking for 3 stars… Normally, we calculate the costs of each service before we deliver our quotation.
