Day 1: Marrakech → High Atlas → Ait Benhaddou → Ouarzazate → Dades Valley (6–7 Hours Drive)

Depart your Marrakech riad at 8:00 AM and climb into the High Atlas Mountains via the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Expect jaw-dropping viewpoints, terraced Berber villages, and optional stops at argan oil cooperatives to see traditional methods of extraction.

Arrive at the legendary Ait Benhaddou, Morocco’s most famous UNESCO-listed ksar. Cross the shallow river (seasonal) and wander earthen alleyways to the hilltop granary. Your guide can share stories of film shoots from Gladiator to Game of Thrones. Enjoy lunch with kasbah views.
