Day 1: Fes → Ifrane → Azrou → Midelt → Ziz Valley → Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Dunes)
Your desert adventure begins at 8:00 AM, departing from your riad or hotel in Fes. Travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing the Swiss-like town of Ifrane and the cedar forests of Azrou, home to playful Barbary macaques. As we ascend the Tizi Ntalghamt Pass, the scenery shifts to reveal the dramatic Ziz Valley, carved through volcanic rock.
After lunch in Midelt, we’ll continue south through Errachidia, with stunning views of palm groves and desert landscapes. By late afternoon, we arrive at the mesmerizing Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga. Savor a glass of mint tea, then embark on a magical camel trek into the heart of the dunes.
Settle into your Berber camp, enjoy a traditional dinner under the stars, and end the night around the fire with live Berber drumming.

Day 2: Merzouga → Tinghir → Todra Gorges → Dades Valley
Rise early to witness a spectacular sunrise over the Sahara. After breakfast and a shower at the camp, return by camel or 4×4 to Merzouga.
Then head west toward Tinghir, a picturesque Berber village known for its lush palm groves and scenic contrast between greenery and traditional mud-brick houses. Our next stop is the dramatic Todra Gorges, where towering cliffs soar over 200 meters high—perfect for a short hike and memorable photos.
We continue through the Dades Valley, part of the famed Route of a Thousand Kasbahs, where colorful rock formations and traditional ksours line the landscape. Dinner and overnight in a cozy kasbah or riad.

Next, explore the world-renowned Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and setting for films like Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and Game of Thrones. Wander its ancient clay alleyways and take in its commanding views.
Cross the mighty High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), where every turn reveals stunning vistas. By late afternoon, we arrive in vibrant Marrakech, where your guide bids you farewell.
